Usk celebrates!

In recognition and celebration of 100 years of Girlguiding in Usk and as part of the Royal Horticulture Society “Greening Grey Britain “ scheme, Usk in Bloom has created a new garden at the entrance to the Maryport North Street Car park on a neglected piece of land owned by Monmouthshire County Council. Guides were involved with the construction and planting of the new garden and seating area.

Plants to encourage pollinating insects with both early and late season sources of nectar have been included and the colour scheme reflects the colours of Girlguiding with rosa “Queen Elizabeth” commemorating our Patron.
