Brownies from all over Gwent continue to have fun celebrating the centenary. June saw Brownies descend on St. Josephs’ School in Newport for a day of fun activities. The weather forecast was horrendous with an amber alert for heavy rain and the organising team had some last minute adjustments to make to the site plan to ensure safety and enjoyment for everyone. The weather was as capricious as only the British weather can be and the day stayed mainly dry – thankfully. There was a great range of activities for the girls and everyone had a fun time. Thanks to all helpers who ran bases, sourced and set out equipment and did the thousand and one other jobs necessary to make such a day a success.
